No Snooze — A New Year Resolution suggested by our CMD Mr. Vinodji Lahoti — Avoid Snooze

And I will start implementing it from Today itself.

After hearing it from our CMD, I Googled about it and found that the Snooze button has negative impacts on our health as well. It increases stress as sleep gets disturbed. Few studies also state that disruption in good sleep also increases blood pressure and heartbeat.

5-minute meditation has a huge positive impact on our health, but snoozing is a different activity. During a snooze of 5 minutes, our mind keeps working and doesn’t relax. So, it has no positive impact at all. It is just an illusion of sleeping extra.

Also, Snooze is an activity where we fight with Alarm and sleep, which we almost lose daily. So, for a constructive mind, this is not a good action to start a day. This defeat continues for the whole day and drowsiness increases. Avoiding Snooze shall help us be cheerful for the whole day.

To avoid snoozing and start a good habit of waking up at the decided time, below few tricks may help.

  • Meditation helps for a good sleep
  • Sleep early to wake up early
  • Sleep without the last thought of Social Media
  • Sleep with the last thought of a Good book
  • Sleep with a good music

Apart from Sleep, Vinodji related this activity with all other actions. As per him, Snooze is not an activity, but it is an attitude. He suggested avoiding Snooze for our daily tasks, targets, goals, family trips, etc. We should be disciplined enough and should not snooze on our tasks or activities.

This is my resolution for 2022. Avoid Snooze — In all actions
